Welcome to the website (the “Site”) of Marine Operations, Xiamen University (the “Marine Operations (XMU)”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) that operates research vessel Tan Kah Kee (R/V TKK). We are committed to protecting the privacy and rights of our website visitors. This privacy policy is intended to make clear the ways that our Site may collect, store, protect and use of your information, subject to provisions of the Law of People’s Republic of China. We will not collect any personal information from you that you do not volunteer. We do not and will not sell, share, or rent this information in any way that is not outlined in this statement.

We do not require website users to provide personal information to access most of the website’s content.
Personal information may be required when users make a donation, register for an event or contest, request annual reports, submit inquiries, apply for employment or a program that we offer or take action on behalf of Marine Operations (XMU), via telephone, e-mail, regular mail, social media, texting, visiting us on a virtual tour, or face-to-face. This information is maintained by us in accordance with this privacy policy. We do not knowingly collect or maintain personal information from minors without the consent of a parent or guardian.

To assist us in achieving our mission, we may share certain donor Personal Information with cooperative partners to analyze our donor base, provide fundraising insights, supplement our donor lists, and match donors with other organizations they may be interested in supporting.
