In early December, the Eddy Observation Cruise were conducted onboard RV TKK. The ship carried an isotope van, a clean sampling van, an MVP, three USVs, several moorings, and underwater gliders, making it one of the most heavily loaded expeditions.

Despite the challenge of the busy working deck, 212 over-the-side operations were conducted on the vessel during the 35-day cruise, including 127 CTD casts, 16 MVP deployments, 19 multi-net plankton sampler deployments, 31 turbulence profiles, and 4 mooring deployments and recoveries.
